Ilya Sprindzhuk (b. 1994, Minsk, Belarus)

Focused on borders, cultural heritage, separation, and power, Ilya Sprindzhuk is a visual artist currently living in political exile in Warsaw. His work delves into how global forces reshape local contexts, merging the personal with the political. Originally trained as a painter, Ilya’s practice now transcends the canvas, extending into installations, actionism, and sculptural objects. His works dynamically transform and confront spaces, inviting interaction and challenging established boundaries.

As a representative of Belarusian culture, Ilya’s work is not confined to depicting his heritage but ventures into exploring how these themes intersect with global dialogues. Through his art, he seeks to engage with and interrogate universal ideals, all while addressing pressing political and sociocultural concerns in a voice that is both deeply personal and globally resonant.
